Stand up a Proxmox Backup Server to provide deduplicated, incremental backups for the Proxmox cluster.

Scope¶

• Provision a PBS instance (VM or physical) with adequate storage for backup datastore
• Configure backup storage backend (deduplication datastore)
• Add each Proxmox host (tsys1,3,4,5,6,7,9) as a PBS client with storage credentials
• Define backup jobs (guest-level + host config) and schedules
• Validate a test restore (full VM + single file)
• Wire backup status into monitoring/alerting (#314, #338)

Why¶

• Currently no centralized, deduplicated backup solution for the cluster
• PBS gives incremental, deduplicated, verified backups native to the Proxmox ecosystem
