Description

Two distinct physical switches (conman consoles 2006 subodev-torsw vs 2007 pfv-r2-sw) both have DNS A records resolving to 192.168.0.8 (subodev-torsw01.knel.net + pfv-sw-02.knel.net). Real IP conflict — needs onsite check of actual switch management IPs to determine which record is wrong. Discovered during 2026-08-07 name reconciliation.

Resolved 2026-08-07: pfv-sw-02.knel.net (192.168.0.8) was a stale DNS record for the dead r2 old Dell switch. Deleted from Technitium — dig returns NXDOMAIN, search returns empty. 192.168.0.8 correctly belongs to subodev-torsw01 (DHCP reservation MAC 00:14:22:69:18:a7 + PTR verified). DHCP configs on netinfra-01/02 both in sync (35 hosts each).
